Life goes by fast. Especially when you have a little one. 

There is hardly any time to reflect. Blogging kind of fell off my list of things to do. 

She is almost 10 months now. She can pull herself up and stand. No walking yet. Thank god.

She keeps me plenty busy as it is...

I put the jewelry business aside for right now. 

There just never felt like a good time to go to the studio.

Dont get me wrong, I do miss it and I plan on getting back to it. 

It is just that this time will never come back and I dont want to miss a second of it. 

I am having way too much fun!

And I dyed my hair red. And I love it!

Eden Rose Jordan

The day before I went into labor. I felt amazing the whole pregnancy. 

But I didn't feel so amazing when the contractions started Saturday morning and

continued all through Sunday with Eden Rose Jordan born May 19th 2013 at 11:32pm.

She is punctual just as her mom though (being born on her due date and all)  :)

Its been 3 months since she arrived and I cant picture life without her.

I love being a mother and even though its been quite an adjustment

its still by far the best decision I have ever made in my life.

So what am I up to besides changing diapers and breastfeeding?

Well not much else so far.

I think we have finally landed into some sort of routine and Eden

has started to take longer naps during the day and I can get some 

other projects done now.

I am starting slow with my jewelry as I don't think I will be able

to spend any longer sessions in my studio. But I will start to photograph

a bunch of ceramic necklaces, rings and earrings that I finished before she was born

and aimed to list in my novaofsweden shop on etsy.

It will probably be a week or two before I get to it, to be honest.

I'm on baby time now. :)

The journey

I haven't blogged as much as I thought I would. Actually I haven't blogged at all.

I found that I have been trying to be more present. In the now. When we were getting married I almost forgot to enjoy the path leading up to our special day. I was so busy focusing on the one day...

This time I want to make sure that I savor every precious moment of this journey.
I have had a very easy pregnancy so far. No morning sickness, not really any back pain. Haven't gained too much (probably cause I already had some extra kilos when we started) and I am still able to bike to and from work every morning! I am loving every moment.

We decided to not find out the sex. It will be a surprise. Can't believe I'm 7 and a half months now. I have a feeling time will fly and before we know it out little baby will be here with us.

The bump is starting to get really big and time for studio is harder and harder to find. I will be putting the shops on vacation at the end of march so give myself more time to rest and prepare.

A new life

In May it will have been a year since we left the US behind and set out to start a new life here in Sweden. Its been quite the journey. New home, new job, new city in a new country (for David at least). So somehow it feels really fitting that this May we will welcome a new life into our little family.

We are so thankful to start this new chapter in our life. I cherish every day I get to experience being pregnant. Its amazing. Everyday my tummy grows bigger. I can feel the little one doing acrobats inside and I can't help to wonder if it's a little girl or a little guy doing flips. We decided that we wanted to be surprised so we didn't find out the sex on the ultrasound.


I have to apologize for not keeping up with my blog. I just had to focus on more important things... but I hope I will be able to share the rest of this journey with all of you.

I do believe it's time to bake some cookies now...

Slow start

A few new items that will hopefully land in my nova of Sweden shop tomorrow. Plus a number of ceramic studs and hoops!

Working away on preparing the listings so keep your fingers crossed I can get it all done on time. I had forgotten how time consuming it is!

The last day at the ocean is long gone.

The days are getting darker. 

They have lost that warm touch that August held.

You can tell fall is almost here

and the winds are increasing in strength.

This morning I felt like I was biking in slow motion 

on the way to work. What is usually a pretty 

swift affair felt like an eternity...

It's turmoil in my life right now.

Getting my business started again. 

Helping David getting his business started.

It is super hard when he doesn't know the language

so I do my best playing accountant and whatever 

else he might need. 

Adjusting to a different way of life.

Learning to live with very small means.

Going from two incomes to one makes a huge 

difference in ones diet as well as social life!

But it is all worth it.

Just you wait...

At 4 pm I jump on my bike and pedal as fast as my 

little legs can take me. The little bike path leads me

straight to the new studio.

I plunk down my bag and roll up my sleeves. 

It takes forever to count everything you've 

accumulated in the past 7 years. 

Turns out I am quite gifted with exceland formulas. 

Phew.

I feel quite silly but this place means so much to me.

It's my past, my present and my future all in once.

I will dust off the shelves and open up the etsy shops again.

October 1st is the deadline I gave myself.

Someone's got to hold me accountable.

Or I would probably just stay there and stare at 

my stone collection for another month or so...

Just kidding! I am so itching to get back to creating.

I feel like my head is going to burst with ideas!

Water for the soul

I feel an incredible calm fill my soul as I explore sweden with David by my side. I am rediscovering the countryside. Amazed by the openness and it's beauty. It's a different landscape than what I'm used to, ( me coming from up north). Its much flatter here but still amazing. I'm so blessed to be able to share this with someone so wonderful as my husband. And grateful I can share it with you too!

Settling in...

Boxes to be unpack, lost items to be found. Surprised to see what's inside and frustrated with what can't be located! The joy of relocating!

Basking in the sun

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the beach. Soaking up some much needed sun. My hands are tanned golden from biking to work everyday but my legs are pale as ghosts... Luckily I found some new shorts today so I'm hoping that will do the trick!

Tomorrow I'll be spending in the good company of one of my oldest friends and her husband. They are visiting for the weekend and I can't wait too see them!

Slow summer

It's been breezy and cold for a while but I think summer finally has arrived.
The days are warm and the sun doesn't set until late at night. We ride our bikes everywhere and I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not just dreaming.

Getting settled

The kitties did amazingly well during the 17 hour long travel day. David and I are slowly getting settled in our new temporary apartment. Feels strange to live out of a suitcase and in a one room apartment!
