I decided to give my mini bud studs and update an oxidized them almost black. I love how they turned out. I have two piercing in one ear and three in the other so sometimes it's nice to have matching studs in all of them.
I also listed them in my Etsy shop.

ReplyDeleteYay to this!! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso been wondering if you'd try out enamel-colored versions of your silver dish studs... or something minimal like that.
And, it would be great if the "three in a row" earrings' bead choices could be better explained and illustrated. I have questions like: How strong (or fragile/ breakage prone) are "czech glass beads"? What exactly are each variety's colors? With the factor of screen display/ setting differences and the ambiguities of the color swirls and textures, it's really difficult to guess...
Thanks a bunch. :)
That's great feedback! I was definitely planning on doing enameled studs. There are so many possibilities. The czech glass beads are strong and not prone to chip or break. I am going to update the colors on the listing right now. It's tricky cause they are made with so many colors together but I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that you're considering enamel studs... :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but somehow I just can't seem to find decent studs elsewhere except from your Etsy.
I've checked out the enhanced description for the earrings. They are great! Thanks so much! :)
Because the color ambiguity, I always can't decide whether this one is bluish or greenish, or that one is blackish or bluish, or if those big stripes are yellowish or greenish... I suppose most Etsy shoppers with some experience have learned not to believe what colors she thinks she's seeing on screen the hard way. ;)
Oh, and, after I matched the descriptions to the beads, it turns out that most of my attempts to guess the colors completely failed. Ooops. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL it's so hard to judge colors from a monitor screen cause everyone got different settings! And you never know if the photo is really showing off the true color. I try really hard to make sure that all my photos reflect the color of what you're gonna receive and I am glad you suggested to add it to the description too!
ReplyDeleteSome additional thoughts:
ReplyDeleteI forgot where I read about this, but some professional fabric retailers are adding Pantone color codes to their product descriptions. I think that could be an idea. :)
And I can't find the link to your blog on your Etsy...!? Ooops. :)
