I can do it!
I really don't know how it happened... but slowly I've put on weight. I guess that's how it works... Been eating a little too much.. and eating things I probably shouldn't.. Sitting behind my desk all day and then in my studio all night. I am only 5'3" so when I finally stood on my scale in bathroom and discovered that I now weigh 63 kg I wanted to cry. It's time to deal with it. So I've setup my mountainbike on a trainer in the living room and I am determined to bike it off. And keep it off! It's been really hard working a full time job and running my Etsy shop with only 24 hours in a day. I've been on vacation from my Etsy shop the past couple of weeks to catch up with life and I have another 2 weeks before I reopen. So now is really the time where I need to get into some good habits and stop being such a slacker! I need to get down to 55kg so I can fit into the jeans that I love. They have been at the bottom of my wardrobe for way too long!

I hear what you're saying, it is so hard with a busy schedule, plus sitting behind a desk. I am actually been trying to get my weight down for years, I'm at 95kg, horrible. But I said this year was going to be the year. I've been on Weight Watchers since Jan and do exercise using my Wii Fit, I've lost 16lbs so far. If you ever stop by my blog check out my section on my weight loss journey.
ReplyDeleteWe just have to stick with it and don't give up. Once thing that I've noticed is don't eat those late night meals, try and cutting out eating by 7pm. Good luck my friend.
Thank you Leila!
ReplyDeleteI am following your journey now, great job! I totally agree with the late night meals. NO more!!!
I know we can do it!!!
You will do it Tess - we both will! Late night eating is a problem for me too. My sched changes all the time, so my biggest problem is eating on some sort of schedule, its almost impossible. I've found the biggest factor into weight gain for me is that I can eat every couple of hours, some days at work I don;t get my lunch break for 4-5 hours!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with ya!!! nothing I have fits anymore because I'm a stay at home mom and wear sweats all day!!! I have been very depressed over this but I know I need to just excersize to get the weight off but It's hard to get started in that routine.. good luck to you!!
ReplyDeleteI know!! I feel like I wear the same old big jeans and t-shirts cause they are the only thing that fits right now... And all my pretty clothes are just laughing at me...
ReplyDeleteI too am right there with you! When I started my jewelry business two and a half years ago I was 20 pounds lighter! I've had some medical issues but really it's all me and I know it. For the last 4 weeks I've been so good at watching what I eat and really cutting back on the carbs. Until I cut back on those carbs did I realize how many calories I was consuming. It's the Maltese in me, but I LOVE bread and that is something that I have mainly been trying to do without. I will still have it though but only once a week will I dig into a nice piece of french bread. Good luck to you! Oh, and picture yourself thinner and you'll get there, LOL, just heard that on one of these health shows, visualize it and it will happen :)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to hear that I am not alone. It seem to be one of the downsides with sitting behind a desk and a jewelry bench all day!
ReplyDelete*visualizing myself 15 pounds lighter* :o)
Hi Nova.
ReplyDeleteI too hear you and wish you the best- you can do it. I have been somewhat heavy my whole life and am now getting on track after a long slow diet. I call it a "lifestyle" instead because I have to do it FOREVER. Once you accept that, it gets easier. I make sure I do 30 minutes almost everyday of walking or yoga. Even just that makes a huge difference. You don't have to over do it. Good luck! If you need moral support you get in touch with me! Anytime!!!!
Thank you Cristina!
ReplyDeleteI think my problem is that I want to do it all and I want a drastic change but then it becomes overwhelming and I end up doing nothing.. 30 minutes a day is definitely doable!
