wings not thorns

As I am gazing into the morning sun I realize that
although I continue to say that I need to slow down and
enjoy the small moments, I still rush through life...

I want to fly but my wings have yet
to unfold. They are not ready this very moment.

I am still learning to slow down and just breathe.
Something that should be so easy
comes very hard for me.

As I move my head towards the sun I can hear the
tingling sound of the roses dangling from my ears.

Like little bells.

Gentle reminders to breathe and to accept
that my wings will unfold when they are ready.
When I am a ready.

I cannot learn how to fly before I learn how to breathe.

  3. Thank you ladies!

Amy I did try the gorgeous stump and I think I like the results better. I think I got clearer impressions than I have gotten in the past. I like the wings so much better too. It was worth the extra time!

  5. Gorgeous work and photos Tess, I'm a glazer, I glaze over things I find unimportant and stab at the ones I think I need. I need to focus.
There's just too much to accomplish in a day.......

  11. Lenita ~ Orange and blue works so nicely together don't they? Rollerskates you say? Sounds like you need to take a breather as well!

Ro ~ Thank you so much. I need to practice my glazing abilities. It sounds like a good way of looking at things. I just need to lean how to tell the difference between them!

Jo ~ you're such a sweetheart. Thank you!

Lia ~ Spring colors are exactly what I was aiming for. I feel it's been so slow getting started here in Philly I needed to give it a nudge!

    K. Berlin ~ Ha I didn't know long was in! I guess I am finally trendy :o) Borrow away! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Judy ~ Thank you dear! I took most of them in the morning sun outside in my backyard. The light was amazing so I think I got very lucky.

Sue ~ I have an obsession with growing vines and curves. Something so feminine about them.

    Chloe ~ Thank you!

  12. I love the earrings Tess...great design; I can't wear the long ones but I love the look. I really like that you can add different colored beads - that really sets them off.

  13. Thank you Sandi! I bought a bunch of beads a while back and I have been waiting for the right design to use them. They add just the right amount of color!

I treasure your words and the fact that you are
taking the time to share them with me.
Please forgive me if I don't respond personally to you.
I always try but sometimes time just flies away!
